Your role as Finance Controller
For this diverse role, we are looking for a talented and energetic candidate who is ready to take the next step in her/ his career and grow together with Last Mile Solutions.
As a Finance Controller, you will be responsible for managing and controlling our financial activities, including preparing and keeping the correct financial records, monitoring budgets and ensuring proper and timely accounting as well as compliance with laws and regulations.
In this role, you will optimize internal financial processes, oversee financial audits, identify financial risks and take an advisory role towards the management to ensure the financial health of the organization.
As an organization we are heading towards the application of an Electronic Money License (EMI) – you will be playing a role in supporting this application.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial reports: month-end close; tax reports
- Monitoring budgets: oversees the use of budgets and ensures spending remains with planned limits
- Managing Accounting: ensures proper and timely processing of financial data and transactions in accounting. Providing internal and external management reports at group level
- Compliance with laws and regulations: ensures all financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations and internal guidelines
- Identifying financial risks: analyzes financial data to identify potential risks to the business and propose solutions. Keep a close eye on developments in the sector
- Supervision of financial audits: supervises and monitors internal and external audits to ensure that financial reports comply with laws and regulations
- Optimizing internal financial processes: improving the efficiency and effectiveness of financial procedures within the company
- Advisory Management: provides financial advice and supports management in making strategic decisions
You recognize yourself in
- A completed education at HBO or WO level focused on Economics, Accountancy or Business Management
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience within finance, preferably as a Finance controller in an international environment
- Numerical and analytical insight
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Next to working accurately you work proactively and structured.
- You own a inquisitive mindset and excellent communication skills
- Proven affinity with data management and experience with tooling such as PowerBI or other data-analytical tooling
- You have an excellent command of the Dutch and English languages
- You feel at home in a dynamic organization
